A testimony about the Leadership Series...
"I personally want to say a big “thank you” to the North Alabama United Methodist Foundation and Ron Martoia for making the Foundation Leadership Series available. I and several of the key-leadership of Columbiana UMC attended almost every session in 2018 and each time came away with useful and inspiring ideas applicable and realistic for our church setting and context. Almost a year ago, we decided to get intentional about a discipleship process that would serve to assimilate new members into the life of our church. We started with our own simple ideas. That got the ball rolling, but the insights we walked away with enabled us to align and bring into focus our vision, mission, resources, ideas and strategies. That sounds very business-like, but it is working for us in a way that is right for our size congregation. We still have a lot of work to do. In my 12 years as a pastor, and the 18 years spent in business prior to that, I have sat through more than my share of business seminars, effectiveness studies, workshops, coaching sessions, etc. but I have never been to any more helpful or as on point as these are with Ron and the Foundation. If you have not been taking advantage of this opportunity, you should. I don’t think you will regret it."
